Here is another one of my very early recordings that is around 10 years old (the drum tracks are probably around 8 years old). It features what is still one of my favourite chord combinations - Em to C - that I have used many times since. I almost feel like these 2 chords together are my secret weapon - the combination I can bust out to save a song. I certainly have my favourite chords, and my taste in chords hasn’t changed much over the last decade. These days I try to write songs on instruments other than the guitar, to avoid self-plagiarism. Or I just use a capo and hope it’ll be less noticeable.
It sounds like I was trying to be pretty ambitious with the drumming in this song, attempting to record multiple drum tracks for the end of the song. I didn’t quite get the timing right though.
